Identifying the Dimensions and Components of Foolishness in Adolescents Based on Islamic Sources
Abstract
Introduction and Aim: Adolescence is a critical and challenging period and adolescents encounter numerous difficulties, particularly in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral domains. Therefore, the purpose of this research was identifying the dimensions and components of foolishness in adolescents based on Islamic sources.
Methodology: This study was a descriptive from type of qualitative. The research population consisted of Islamic documents and resources and for this purpose the Jame-ul-Ahadith Software developed by the Noor Research Institute was selected as the sample. Data collection was performed using the note-taking method and the data were analyzed through open, axial and selective coding in the MAXQDA-2020 software.
Findings: The results of this research indicated that the foolishness in adolescents based on Islamic sources encompasses of 96 concepts, 26 components and 3 dimensions of cognitive, emotional and behavioral. Specifically, the cognitive dimension included 10 components, emotional dimension included 4 components and the behavioral dimension included 12 components. Also, the content validity index and content validity ratio for the dimensions and components of foolishness in adolescents based on Islamic sources were obtained as 0.91 and 0.87, respectively.
Conclusion: Regarded to the results of present study, to reduce foolishness in adolescents it is possible to create conditions that lead to the reduction of the identified dimensions, components and concepts in this research.
