Modeling of Causal Relationships of Job Satisfaction based on Work-Family Conflict in Mazandaran Province Red Crescent Employees with the Mediating Role of Mindfulness

Abstract

Introduction and Aim: Job satisfaction plays an important role in improving the occupational, social, and family status of employees. As a result, the aim of this study was investigate the modeling of causal relationships between job satisfaction based on work-family conflict in employees of the Mazandaran Province Red Crescent employees with the mediating role of mindfulness.

Methodology: The present study was a descriptive from type of correlation. The population of this study was Mazandaran province Red Crescent employees in 2025 year with number 986 people. The sample size was determined 237 people who were selected by available sampling method. The instruments of the present study included the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (Weiss et al., 1967), Multidimensional Questionnaire of Work-Family Conflict (Carlson et al., 2000), and Mindfulness Questionnaire (Baer et al., 2006). The data of this study were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients and structural equation modeling methods in SPSS and AMOS software.

Findings: The findings of the present research showed that the model of job satisfaction based on work-family conflict with the mediating role of mindfulness had a good fit. In this model, the direct effect of work-family conflict on mindfulness and job satisfaction was negative and significant, and the direct effect of mindfulness on job satisfaction was positive and significant (P<0.001). Also, the indirect effect of work-family conflict with the mediation of mindfulness on job satisfaction was negative and significant (P<0.001).

Conclusion: According to the results of this study, in order to increase employees' job satisfaction can be prepared the ground to reduce their work-family conflict and increase their mindfulness.
